Last night my dad made me get in the window wells to clean them out. There was lots of spiders, bugs, garbage, and leaves in there. It was gross. But then as I lifted some of the leaves - I found THESE!!
Salamanders!!!
This is a baby one.
We found 6. Hayden wanted to keep them. My mom and dad said no. He cried. After we let them go on the golf course, Hayden was so upset. I ran back to see if I could find just 1 for him to keep but I couldn't. Right as I saw 1, I was trying to grab it and the sprinklers came on and soaked me. Hayden was still sad he didn't get to keep them. I thought they were gross but kind of cool.
We love salamanders. At least from a distance. They are cool to look at and watch. The girls won't touch them, but we like to try to find them in the lake.
